About us
After more than 6 years of work in cooperation with the International German Development Service (DED/GIZ) in Africa and the last 30 years in Latin America (Dominican Republic, Brazil Bolivia and Peru, I got retired end of 2018. My wife Fiorella is from Peru and we have two young children, Johanna y Joaquin, which was born 2011 and 2009 in Lima.
Our participation in environmental and social projects in the region of Oxapampa:
Because of my work in agroforestry and buffer-zone management of protected areas in the province of Oxapampa, I have a number of good contacts and friends in the region. Here I am a member of the Institute of Agricultural Investigation and Extension “Antonio Brack – Egg” in Oxapampa. Our main focus is on small – scale farmers in the region and there sustainable agricultural and forestry development. Participation of volunteers, such as the program “Weltwärts” – www.weltwaerts.de – or the new program “Kulturweit” by UNESCO in the context of Biosphere Reserves – www.kulturweit.de/en – should in the future be possible.
Furthermore, I am supporting a Peruvian network on soil – and water – conservation with the Vetiver System – https://vetiver-peru.com and lead an agency for alternative green environmental technologies in Peru – http://greentechperu.org/english/index.html
